a) All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)

Used to allow users to select, send, and receive all types of files, including photos, videos, documents, music, and APKs.
This permission is necessary to access files stored in various folders on your device for sharing purposes only.

b) Installed Apps Access (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES)

Used to list installed apps (APKs) so the user can select and share them with other devices.
This permission is only used for displaying installed apps for sharing — the app does not collect, analyze, or share your app list.

c) Install Packages (REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES)

Used to install APK files received from other devices during file sharing.
File Share does not automatically install or download apps from the internet; the user manually installs shared apps.

d) Nearby & Wi-Fi Permissions

Used to connect devices and transfer files wirelessly through Wi-Fi Direct or hotspot.
These permissions may include:

  • ACCESS_WIFI_STATE

  • CHANGE_WIFI_STATE

  • ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Location access is required only to detect nearby devices, not to track or store your location.

e) Notification Permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

Used to show progress and completion alerts for ongoing file transfers.

4. How We Handle Your Data

  • We do not store any files, media, or app data on our servers.

  • We do not collect analytics or personal identifiers.

  • All sharing happens device-to-device (peer-to-peer) via local connection.

  • No data is sold or shared with any third party.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services (such as Google and Facebook) for advertising. These services may use cookies or similar technologies to show you more relevant ads.

We apply industry-standard security measures to ensure your data stays private during transfers.
